Embark on one of the most famous and visually striking high mountain expeditions in the world: the Rainbow Mountain Tour (Vinicunca).
Itinerary
04:00 AM
Early pick-up from your hotel in Cusco to make the most of the morning, starting the journey in our tourist transport heading south.
06:30 AM
Arrival at the town of Cusipata or Tintinco, where we will enjoy a nutritious Andean buffet breakfast to give us the energy needed for the mountain.
07:30 AM
Continuation of the journey by vehicle to the Phulawasipata base camp (4,600 masl), the starting point of the trek.
08:30 AM
Start of the gradual ascent hike (approx. 1.5 to 2 hours). Along the route, we will appreciate majestic snow-capped peaks like Ausangate and local wildlife (llamas and alpacas).
10:30 AM
Triumphant arrival at the summit of the Vinicunca viewpoint (5,020 masl). We will have free time (approx. 40 minutes) for photos, listening to the guide's geological explanation, and connecting with nature.
11:30 AM
Descent back along the same trail to our bus parking area.
01:30 PM
Return trip to the restaurant in Cusipata to enjoy a delicious and comforting buffet lunch.
04:30 PM
Arrival in the city of Cusco and return transfer to your respective hotels.
